PestRepell
PestRepell is specialty performance masterbatch which has property to block specific radiations which insects & pests need to have visibility. When PestRepell is incorporated into polyethylene films and nets in specific ppm levels, without affecting visible spectrum transmittance and plant photosynthesis, it blocks visibility of pests affecting their behaviour related with movement, host location ability and their population parameters. It has very promising results in insect control vectors of plant disease threatening greenhouse crops. The exclusion of part of the insect visibility within the greenhouse environment has a dramatically incidence on insect orientation, movement and on the spread of insect-transmitted viral diseases. Although it affects the pollination efficiency dramatically, it is advised not to use in films or nets for the crops requiring bee pollination.
